We would like to first thank you for considering APO as a beneficiary. Legacy gifting is a powerful and impactful donation that can impact hundreds of lives for years to come.

We hope that you will inform us when you have named APO in your will or trust so that we can thank you and include you in our updates on missions and the children your generous donation will be helping.

Bequests in Wills

Bequests are an extremely important source of support providing funds that can be used for years to come. You may leave APO:

  • A specific dollar amount

  • A specific asset, such as marketable property or securities

  • A percentage of your residual estate (what remains after gifts to loved ones and expenses have been paid)

How to name APO in your will

Legal name: Asia Pacific Outreach Limited
Address:  85 Alpine Road, Kaukapakapa, Auckland, New Zealand, 0984
Registered Charity ID:  CC2395

This sample language may be useful:

"I give and bequeath to Asia Pacific Outreach Limited of Auckland, New Zealand,  [the sum of __________ Dollars ($____)] [ _______ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate], to be used for its general charitable purposes."

Named Beneficiary

Selecting Asia Pacific Outreach as a beneficiary for your retirement account or life insurance policy offers a straightforward yet impactful means of backing our organization's life-changing endeavors, all without the need to revise your will or living trust. By designating APO as a beneficiary, your generous contribution bypasses the probate process, supporting our endeavors to provide crucial assistance far faster than awaiting disbursement of your estate.

Retirement Accounts

Some supporters choose to designate APO as a beneficiary for either the entirety or a designated portion of their Kiwisaver, Australian Super, IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or similar retirement accounts.

It's worth noting that recipients inheriting assets from retirement plans typically face significant income tax obligations, making such assets highly suitable for charitable bequests.

Ask your retirement plan administrator or financial institution for a change of beneficiary form. Please list us as:

  • Legal name: Asia Pacific Outreach Limited

  • Address:  85 Alpine Road, Kaukapakapa, Auckland, New Zealand, 0984

  • Registered Charity ID:  CC62395

Charitable Trust

A charitable trust enables you to contribute to the life-saving efforts of  Asia Pacific Outreach while also maintaining and securing the core assets for your family's future. You transfer cash, securities, or other assets to the trust, which is then managed by a trustee. This trustee invests the assets and makes annual payments, based on funds/interest generated by the trust, to the APO for a duration determined by you. Upon the trust's conclusion, the remaining funds are disbursed to either you or your beneficiaries. Charitable Trusts have a range of tax advantages while also allowing the bulk of any funds to remain in your or your familys control.

To learn more of this option we recommend discussing this with your accountant or legal advisor. During the trusts setup please list the trusts beneficiarys as;

  • Legal name: Asia Pacific Outreach Limited

  • Address:  85 Alpine Road, Kaukapakapa, Auckland, New Zealand, 0984

  • Registered Charity ID:  CC62395

Please contact us directly for further details you may require to setup your Trusts funding of APO.
